The fashion fest of Lovely Professional University “Brand Wagon -09”, got of to a flying start on Thursday 16 December 2009, as established fashion brands of the stature of JCT, Olega, Neva, Cotton County, K-mark, Duke, Indra Garments, Ruko-Tina, Chilly Sources etc. displayed the most up-to-date and the most attractive of their fashion products at the Exhibition-cum-Sale section of the fest.
The “Centre Stall”, the pavilion featuring the designer dresses made themselves by the students of LPU was the centre of attraction of the event. The participating students had made dresses of varied styles, with winter-wears of Western and Japanese style dominating the whole lot.
Mrs. Rashmi Mittal, Executive Dean-LPU the Chief Guest of the event, appreciated the contribution of students and said that the creative streaks of the student designers really deserved a thumping applause. She found it a matter of great surprise that the hidden talent of indigenous students found a vent through events like this.
